Exploring the Reasons BEHIND the Actions:
What are Our Assumptions?
Introduction
Where do we start
planning our action? In order to make effective,
lasting change in your community, it is important to
take an honest look at why we believe our
communities need to change. These are called
assumptions: the underlying beliefs we have that
inform all of our actions everyday.
Everything operates
from assumptions, whether they have been stated or
not. This includes families, schools, and society as
a whole. Before you embark on any course of action,
take time to explore your assumptions, and share
them with others.
