RESPECT - A Handbook Created By The Youth and Police of the City of
Seattle
In 1992-93 youth and Seattle
Police officers worked hard to understand each other, share information,
and solve problems that commonly arise between police and youth.
Hundreds of youth, police officers, and community representatives have
come together in forums and meetings to hear each other's point of view.
This handbook is one of many efforts sponsored by the City of Seattle to
give youth the information they need to make wise decisions. Go to

Freechild Project Resources
We have worked with dozens of organizations and agencies throughout
the state to promote youth voice in service learning, school
improvement, community government, and nonprofit decision-making. The
Freechild Project offers hands-on training to young people and adults
that focuses on successful youth involvement in decision-making. We
also present engaging workshops at conferences and provide keynote
addresses to young people and adults focused on youth involvement.
